Below is a position description I have revised for my current company Caring Hands Home Care. While revising this piece of our policy several key elements of composition were considered. First was the content of the position description. The content had to cover all of the duties of an LPN without becoming overwhelming to the reader. Separating the information into sections helped to break the information down allowing the reader to digest and understand the information. Another element to this piece was word agreement. Each line in the Performance Responsibilities and Standards begins in a present tense verb. Another element of this piece is the format of the document. Since the position description is meant to be a printed document it has been adapted to be posted online. The original document includes a header that gives the company's information. The section Performance Responsibilities and Standards is formatted in two columns instead of the singular format depicted here.
