About Me:

I started my career path at a very young age. I was first introduced to the medical field in eleventh grade through the Medical Assistant program at Eastern Suffolk BOCES. My first clinical rotation in Brook Haven Hospital opened my eyes to the nursing profession.

Since then I have become a graduate of Eastern Suffolk BOCES Nursing Program and have been successfully employed with Caring Hands Home Care as an LPN. I believe that as a nurse, my job is not only to care for a person physically but to care for them holistically. My experience at Caring Hands Home Care has given me a vast basis of knowledge.  Working in the homes of my clients is a privilege;  I am able to aid them in making their daily lives as close to normal as possible. I take great pride in helping them accomplish tasks independently and keeping them active. Although I have already gained the certification that allows me work work as a nurse I have continued to pursue knowledge.

I am current enrolled in Suffolk Community College as a Liberal Arts major. As I have made my way through a large amount of course work, I have found myself exploring new avenues in the nursing field. One avenue I discovered in Technical Writing was the administrative side of nursing. This E-portfolio show cases some of the work I have completed during this course.
